This position exists within the Oregon Center for Career Development in Childhood Care and Education and operates within the credentialing & certification functions at a secondary support level. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Data entry of training and education documentation
  • Verification of training and education documentation
  • Registry application processing (screening and review)
  • Follow‑up & phone consultations
  • Interpretation of policy information and technical assistance

Additional responsibilities include providing assistance and professional support to the credentialing & certification coordinator in areas such as registry & knowledge standards, registry systems development/implementation, training records creation, training documentation verification, presentations & media packages to practitioners, state verification data system work, and collaboration with state partners and review teams.

Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS in the field of education, early childhood education, or related field and/or a Step 9.
  • 1–2 years of experience and professional competence in education or related fields.
  • Evidence of professional standards, ethics, and values that uphold an equity lens.
  • Demonstrated ability in the following areas:
    • Application and document processing, screening for completeness, data entry, and approvals.
    • Interpreting and implementing program policies and procedures.
    • Proficiency in computer systems and databases for maintaining and analyzing data.
    • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑project office environment.
    • Working with people from diverse backgrounds and professional affiliations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional experience and professional competence in a similar position.
  • Experience providing technical assistance / professional development advising.
  • Experience giving presentations in professional settings.
  • Bilingual communication skills – English/Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese, or Chinese.
