Responsibility as a neurocritical care attending for all patients admitted to the NSICU s includes decisions about the need for admission of patients for critical care illness or injury, assessing their diagnosis, implementing their management plans, leading daily neuroimaging and patient care rounds, overseeing the education of medical students and trainees, overseeing and performing critical care procedures such as intubations and central lines, and facilitating consultation with other services within OHSU.
These responsibilities are carried out in approximately 12-hour day or night shifts for consecutive days Mon-Fri or Wed-Sun, and consecutive nights Mon-Thurs or Fri-Sun. Current open shifts are:
- D2 Wednesday March 25 Sunday March 29
- Nights Friday April 24 Sunday April 26
- Nights Monday May 4 Thursday May 7
- Nights Friday May 22 Sunday May 24
- D2 Wednesday May 27 Sunday May 31
- D2 Wednesday June 17 Sunday June 21
Preferred Qualifications:
MD or DO Board Certified Neurologist
