Executive Physician Leadership Opportunity | Portland, OR Area

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Medical Director for the Cardiovascular Service Line to lead the strategic, clinical, financial and operational direction of cardiovascular care across a respected, multi-hospital health system.

This physician leader will partner closely with administrative and clinical leaders to advance program growth, quality, and patient outcomes across the full continuum of cardiovascular services including prevention and diagnosis to advanced interventions and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical and strategic leadership for all cardiovascular programs and services
  • Partner with system executives and administrative leaders to develop and execute long-term service line strategy
  • Lead initiatives to improve quality, safety, and the patient experience through evidence-based care
  • Support recruitment, development, and engagement of cardiovascular physicians and advanced practice providers
  • Guide program expansion and innovation aligned with system goals and community needs
  • Monitor performance metrics, optimize clinical productivity, and ensure operational efficiency
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and professional excellence
Qualifications
  • MD or DO with board certification in Cardiology, Cardiothoracic surgery, or Vascular Surgery
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the applicable state(s)
  • Minimum 5+ years of combined clinical and leadership experience in a complex, multi-hospital system
  • Demonstrated success improving quality, safety, and program growth in cardiovascular care
  • MBA or MHA preferred
  • High emotional intelligence with strong communication, collaboration, and change leadership skills
