Interior Design Intern – PDX Remodeling & Design

PDX Remodeling & Design is offering an exciting internship opportunity for a junior interior designer looking to gain hands‑on experience in the residential remodeling industry. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates eager to develop their skills in client collaboration, material sourcing, and project execution. Interns will work closely with our design and project management team, contributing to real projects while learning the fundamentals of interior design in a professional setting.

• Assist in sourcing finishes and materials for remodeling projects.
• Consult with clients on selections, ensuring alignment with their vision and budget.
• Help create design presentations for client meetings.
• Assist in drafting floor plans and layout revisions.
• Measure spaces and document existing conditions.
• Capture photos of project spaces for records and presentations.
• Set up client profiles in our project management system.

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an Interior Design program (Heritage School of Interior Design preferred).
• Passionate about residential design with a keen eye for detail.
• Organized, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
• Familiarity with design software (Sketch Up, AutoCAD, or similar) is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Hands‑on experience with real client projects.
