Customer Service Rep
Overview
The counter sales agent deals directly with our customers on a daily basis to ensure they have a positive experience. As a member of the branch team, this will primarily be accomplished through the selling of the breadth of our products, taking customer orders, following up on existing orders, looking up and ordering parts while providing excellent customer service. This position will regularly be asked to support other branch activities to ensure its success.
This may include, but not limited to, helping with warehouse duties such as loading/unloading deliveries, picking materials for next day orders, assisting in the receiving and restocking of parts/ products, may include using a forklift, inventory management, safety, and other duties as required.
We are seeking a friendly and empathetic Customer Service Associate to join our team in Portland, United States. As a Customer Service Associate, you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers, providing exceptional support and ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.
Responsibilities- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner
- Listen actively to customer concerns and provide appropriate solutions or escalate issues when necessary
- Process orders, returns, and exchanges accurately and efficiently
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, and company policies
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex customer issues
- Document customer interactions and maintain accurate records in our CRM system
- Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Assist in training new team members and sharing best practices
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's degree in a related field preferred - Previous customer service experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong active listening and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Patient and empathetic approach to customer interactions
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
- Describe reading, corresponding, and language requirements
- Include presentation or training skills if needed
