Overview
Job Title: Senior Project Engineer – Commercial & Multifamily Construction
Location: Portland, OR
About Us We are a leading general contractor in the Portland market specializing in commercial and multifamily projects. Our team delivers high-quality buildings through collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities- Assist Project Manager with overall project administration, including contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Work closely with Superintendents to support field coordination, scheduling, and quality control.
- Review and track project drawings, specifications, and design changes for constructability and compliance.
- Maintain project documentation including logs, meeting minutes, and reports.
- Support procurement of subcontractors, vendors, and materials; assist in bid analysis and buyout.
- Help ensure compliance with project safety requirements and company standards.
- Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve technical and scheduling issues.
- Prepare progress reports and assist in cost tracking, forecasting, and budget management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a Project Engineer in commercial and/or multifamily construction.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and other construction management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
