Provides overall administrative and technical leadership on construction sites. Oversees subcontractor performance and productivity, ensures adherence to project policies and procedures, and confirms work is completed according to design specifications, safety standards, quality expectations, and project schedules.
** TRAVELING POSITION
** Must be willing to travel up to 3 weeks out of the monthly regularly
Duties and Responsibilities
Pre-Construction
- Develop a complete understanding of project plans, specifications, and subcontractor scopes of work.
- Review and verify contractor scopes of work against project requests and specifications.
- Review shop drawings for errors, omissions, or clarification needs.
- Prior to project startup, review project plans, specifications, and startup checklists to confirm all required items and subcontracted work are in place.
- Ensure field staff submit timecards accurately and on schedule through the designated time-tracking system and forward them to project leadership.
- Confirm all required equipment documentation is complete and accurate.
- Complete daily job reports and submit them to project leadership.
- Maintain a safe work environment by communicating and enforcing all jobsite safety procedures and policies.
- Conduct and document weekly safety meetings and safety discussions.
- Order materials, tools, and equipment as needed for project progress.
- Ensure proper security and accountability for tools and jobsite equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient jobsite.
- Review and monitor project schedules.
- Update field record drawings on a weekly basis.
- Submit weekly expense reports with proper cost coding.
- Submit daily and weekly project progress photos.
- Ensure subcontractors and vendors are working from the most current contract drawings and specifications.
- Manage subcontractor performance with a focus on quality, safety, and timeliness.
- Inspect each trade’s work to ensure it meets quality standards and complies with project plans and specifications.
Weekly Safety Meetings
- Goal: 100% of meetings conducted and documented weekly.
- Goal:
Zero safety incidents on each project.
- Goal:
Zero callbacks related to workmanship defects.
- Goal: 100% compliance, including:
o Daily job reports submitted and completed
o Expense reports submitted with all required receipts
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret commercial construction plans and specifications.
- Knowledge of fuel system installation processes and procedures.
- Working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, DEQ, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
- ICC Certification (U1).
- Experience operating heavy construction equipment.
