Business System Analyst​/PeopleSoft

Overview

Join AZAD as a Business Systems Analyst and support the facility's Financial Systems and Automation group within the Finance organization, with initial focus on support of the Finance People Soft application, Finance People Soft integrations with HR People Soft and Asset Suite 9;
Security/role, operational support for the Financial Management System(s), and potentially other projects/assignments of similar size and scope. This position will serve as an analyst and collaborate with the manager, team members and business stakeholders to clarify business operations, functions, requirements, provide gap analysis, document/map current and future states, identify and recommend alternative solutions, evaluate alternatives, and develop/draft and recommend resulting business and change management approaches, strategies, processes, procedures, workflows, etc.

The Business Systems Analyst will analyze, facilitate, model, optimize, and organize processes and information to elicit requirements, reconcile conflicts, and marry solution ideas with business needs.

• Support the facility's Financial Systems and Automation group within Finance, with initial focus on Finance People Soft and related integrations.
• Clarify business operations, gather requirements, perform gap analysis, and map current and future states.
• Identify and evaluate alternative solutions; draft and recommend business and change management approaches, strategies, processes, procedures, and workflows.
• Analyze, facilitate, model, and optimize processes and information; reconcile conflicts and align solutions with business needs.
• Collaborate with managers, team members, and business stakeholders on projects or assignments of similar size and scope.
• Engage in system development, testing, resolving break-fix issues, and tracking system defects as applicable.

This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is full-time remote with optional on-site work in Portland, Oregon.

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management (or closely related field) is preferred.
• Experience requirements vary by education level:
  • 8 years of experience with a bachelor's degree.
  • 10 years of experience with an associate degree.
  • 12 years of experience without a degree or with no applicable degree.
• Experience consistent with business and systems analysis and progressively more technical in nature.
• 2 years of Finance People Soft experience including using or analyzing People Tools, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Deal Management, Lease Administration, Asset Management, and General Ledger modules.
• 2 years of experience with system development, testing, resolving break-fix issues, and tracking system defects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project).
• Technical writing skills and ability to present information in textual, graphical, and statistical forms.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License/Real  required.

• Energy/utility industry experience.
• Finance/Budget/Accounting experience.
• ERP/Financial Systems experience (such as People Soft).
• Knowledge of integration techniques and testing.
• Knowledge of People Soft HRMIS – time and labor and payroll modules.
• Knowledge of business process improvement techniques as applied within the energy industry.
