About the Role
Are you passionate about privacy, energized by complex negotiations, and ready to shape the way an enterprise protects personal data? We’re looking for a Privacy Contracts Manager who thrives at the intersection of law, technology, and risk management.
In this role, you’ll lead the effort to embed data protection into every third‑party relationship we maintain. You’ll partner with Legal, Procurement, IT Security, and business teams to ensure our vendor contracts meet global privacy standards — and you’ll help build the frameworks that keep us ahead of regulatory change.

What You’ll DoContract Review & NegotiationDraft, review, and negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), and privacy‑specific terms in vendor and customer agreements.
Ensure all contractual language aligns with global privacy regulations and internal policies.
Assess third‑party vendors for privacy compliance and maintain robust documentation of findings and risk decisions.
Monitor global regulatory changes (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, PIPEDA, PIPL, and more) and update templates, guidance, and contract terms accordingly.
Collaborate closely with Legal, Procurement, IT Security, Info Sec, and business teams to integrate privacy requirements into sourcing and contracting processes.
Serve as a subject‑matter expert on contractual privacy obligations and risk mitigation strategies.
Improve the contract lifecycle management process for privacy‑related agreements.
Build internal playbooks, templates, and guidance documents to enable scalable and consistent privacy practices across the business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or a related field
3–5 years of contract management or negotiation experience, preferably with a focus on privacy or data protection.
Strong familiarity with global privacy requirements: GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, PIPEDA, PIPL, and other emerging regulations.
Experience completing or drafting DPAs (experience working from templates is a plus).
Exceptional contract drafting and negotiation skills
Strong understanding of data protection principles and privacy risks
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities with confidence
Familiarity with automation & workflow tools such as One Trust and Jira
This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $54.00/hr.
