Are you looking for a long-term career with a fast-growing company? Look no further because Tonkin Mazda of Portland is actively seeking out Ford/Mazda Technicians, and now is the time to join!

Our shop is equipped with all the necessary equipment needed to complete any job, including multiple tire machines, alignment racks, and other various state‑of‑the‑art tools and machines. Each of our technicians has up to 2 bays (depending on billed hours), and we have the largest Mazda dealership, in sq/ft, to give you as much room as needed to complete the job.

We also have a very clean Employee Locker Room and Employee Breakroom equipped with both a popcorn and ice cream machine.

For all technicians with satisfactory performance, we offer training to get you through your Mazda Certifications (Certified, Sr. Certified, Master Certified). This includes both online and in‑person training. In‑person training is paid training (8 hours paid/day). We will also reimburse ASE certifications upon completion.

• Automotive diagnostics and inspections.
• Conducting inspections, repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems, and replacing parts.
• Comply with manufacturer specifications throughout the repair/servicing process.
• Mentor and help other technicians on the Service Team.

M-F or T-Sat., hours may vary

Flat—rate pay plan with our top performers reaching upwards of 150+ hours billed per pay period! (300+ billable hours per month)

• 1-3 years of automotive repair/diagnostic experience.
• Ford/Mazda Certified is preferred but not required.
• Driver’s License.
• Personal Tools.

Corporate requirements:
Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check, and a pre-employment drug screen.
