Legal Accounting Clerk​/Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking a Temporary/Contract Accounting Clerk who has the flexibility for either full-time or part-time scheduling.

You have a minimum of two years of relevant legal/law firm accounting or bookkeeping experience.

• Process and verify invoices for accuracy.
• Date‑stamp, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system.
• Prepare, process, and file daily and weekly check runs.
• Post recurring journal entries and miscellaneous expenses.
• Reconcile the bank account spreadsheet to the daily recap and accounting system.
• Process employee expense reimbursements.
• Match, enter, and reconcile credit card transactions.
• Review account activity upon request.
• Procure parking or transportation passes as needed.
• Enter miscellaneous expenses (e.g., postage).
• Collect vendor W‑9 forms and assist in annual 1099 preparation.
• Prepare and process annual bar dues.

• Import costs into the accounting system.
• Process daily deposits as needed.

• Generate, distribute, and file monthly management reports.
• Compile and transmit accounts receivable and timekeeping reports to attorneys and paralegals.
