Job Description:

An Oregon-based utility company is hiring for an Accounting Analyst to oversee accounting policies and ensure compliance with US GAAP. This role will serve as a resource for complex transactions, research and document technical guidance, support external reporting and disclosures, monitor emerging FASB/SEC developments, and prepare committee materials. Additional responsibilities include accounting for stock-based compensation, pensions, and financings, supporting audits and SOX compliance, and contributing to special projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field and CPA certificate
• 5+ years of public accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge and experience applying US GAAP and consolidation principles.

Nice to haves:

• Experience with utility operations, standard utility accounting and public utility reporting and filing experience.
• Knowledge of SEC reporting disclosures and requirements.
• Experience using SAP or alternative general ledger or other financial software system is preferred.
