Role Overview

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the full-cycle processing of payables, ensuring all vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and employee expenses are handled accurately and timely. In this industry, you will play a key role in maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring that all related documentation is accurate.

Key Responsibilities

• Invoice Management: Code & verify, and enter high-volume vendor invoices into the ERP system with high attention to detail.
• Payment Cycles: Prepare and perform weekly check runs, ACH transfers, and wire payments.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies; manage and audit corporate credit card expenses and employee reimbursements.
• Project Accounting Support: Assist Project Managers with job costing inquiries to ensure expenses are allocated to the correct equipment or job site.
• Record Keeping: Maintain digital and physical financial records in accordance with company policy and tax regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years of experience in full-cycle Accounts Payable, preferably in construction, heavy equipment, or logistics.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors and make necessary coding corrections.
• Communication: Strong professional communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal contacts.

Salary: $25-29 an hour
