Bilingual Japanese Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION ACCOUNTING

• Reviews payment instructions and deposit instructions on a daily basis.
• Works closely with and educates newly hired Sales Assistants regarding accounting and SAP procedures.
• Monitors Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables outstanding balances and investigates discrepancies. Resolves discrepant issues.
• During month end closing, check the comments and correct errors in merchandise and other ledger entries.
• Educates all Sales Assistants on the proper accounting procedures.
• Reconciles AR/AP on a monthly basis.
• Conducts meeting with clients.
• Reconcile balance confirmation from affiliated companies, customers, and vendors.

• Prepares and submits reports according to the closing package schedule. (e.g. sales, profit and budget analysis)

• Trains new employees on accounting procedures and use of SAP system.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of experience
• Knowledge of general accounting/bookkeeping principles
• Business level Japanese language skills (Speak/Write/Read)
• Strong Excel skills, working knowledge of Macro is a plus
• Import/Export business knowledge is a plus
• Great communication skill
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
