We are looking for an experienced Property Accountant to join our clients team in Portland, OR. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing real estate portfolio while working in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in property accounting, financial reporting, and managing accounts for multiple properties. Below are more details.
Responsibilities- Manage the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of properties, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Handle tenant rent and Common Area Maintenance (CAM) billing, including the calculation and reconciliation of charges.
- Work with property management teams to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting for each property.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of property accounting experience, preferably in commercial or residential real estate.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar property management software).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and property accounting principles.
