Job Title: Class B/C Driver - Mover

Department: Operations

Reports To: Long Distance Dispatch and COO

We are a reputable moving company seeking physically fit and reliable Class B and Class C Drivers to join our team. In this role, you will be an essential part of the moving process, responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport household goods and providing exceptional customer service to our clients during their relocation. You must be comfortable with the physical demands of moving furniture and other household items.

• Safely operate Class B or Class C commercial vehicles (e.g., box trucks, straight trucks) to transport household goods over short and long distances.
• Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper working condition; report any maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Actively participate in the moving process:
• Load and unload household goods, ensuring proper handling and securement to prevent damage.
• Wrap and protect furniture and other fragile items.
• Assemble and disassemble furniture as needed.
• Carry and maneuver heavy items with the assistance of proper equipment and/or team members.

• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients throughout the moving process.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation, including logs, inventories, and delivery confirmations.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety, delivery schedules, and customer interactions.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Valid Class B or Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating Class B or Class C commercial vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
• Excellent physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of moving furniture and other heavy items.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug test.
