Job Description

Become a Custom Driver! Ready to drive for the best? Custom Transport hauls plastic (powder and pellets) in dry bulk pneumatic tankers from industrial facility to industrial facility for bottling and manufacturing. No endorsement necessary.

Current openings in:
Portland, ME
Dedicated runs to Hollis, ME and Kingfield, ME
Drivers are home every night
Pay:
From $2,000 per week

Schedule:

6 days per week (Monday–Saturday or Sunday–Friday)

How We Roll Custom takes pride in outfitting our company drivers with some of the best rigs on the road. We spec each tractor & trailer to meet customer requirements, but also to increase the comfort and efficiencies of our professional drivers.

Today, our fleet operates Peterbilt 389 and International Lone Star 13-speed manual transmission trucks as well as Kenworth T-680 Next Gen automatics. Our newest fleet additions are the Peterbilt 579 automatics equipped especially for the safety and comfort of our drivers.

Responsibilities
  • Safely and efficiently operate a local delivery truck to transport plastics to various locations
  • Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment
  • Follow all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the vehicle
  • Communicate with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and provide updates
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
Requirements
  • Valid CDL A license (required)
  • At least 2 years of tractor-trailer experience, preferably with dry bulk pneumatic tanker
  • No endorsement necessary
  • Clean driving and criminal record
  • Ability to pass a hair follicle drug screen
  • Must be able to work 6 days per week (work is typically Monday–Saturday or Sunday–Friday)
