The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people’s lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods we are able to provide the financial support to assist men and women with a variety of social and spiritual afflictions. The in‑residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities with every man or woman being provided a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction.
All our effort is focused on developing life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. More than just a job, each member of the team contributes to recycling goods that literally recycle and repair broken lives.
The Security position will assist with night security for the residential program to provide a caring, respectful, and safe atmosphere for those seeking life transformation through the ARC program.
Responsibilities Include- Check personnel for proper identification and clearance.
- Permit and document authorized people to enter property and document anyone exiting.
- Conduct rounds throughout the building, maintain log book, and monitor alarm systems and video surveillance.
- Request emergency personnel for any high-risk situations.
- Sound alarm or call police or fire department by telephone in case of fire, difficulty with unauthorized people, or medical emergencies.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Security experience preferred.
- Must be able to write log entries and incident reports as needed.
- Must be in agreement with The Salvation Army’s Christian spiritual approach to rehabilitation.
- Must be certified in basic First Aid including Narcan administration or become certified within 60 days of hire.
