Key Responsibilities Clinical Care & Expertise- Perform vascular access procedures including peripheral IVs, midlines, PICCs, and implanted ports
- Administer a wide range of infusion therapies, including but not limited to IVIG, TPN, biologics, anti-infectives, specialty infusions, and other prescribed therapies
- Monitor patients during and after infusions; identify and manage infusion-related reactions in accordance with established protocols
- Operate and troubleshoot infusion pumps and related equipment
- Provide patient and caregiver education regarding therapy plans, side effects, self-care, and post-infusion instructions
- Escalate clinical concerns appropriately to pharmacists or medical providers
- Provide home infusion visits and infusion suite coverage as assigned
- Adapt to changing patient schedules and coverage needs
- Collaborate closely with pharmacists, schedulers, and referral partners to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain professional communication with patients, caregivers, and referring providers
- Support continuity of care and assist in resolving logistical challenges related to patient visits
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation in accordance with Company policy and regulatory standards
- Adhere to state nursing regulations and scope of practice requirements
- Follow infection control and aseptic infusion practices in alignment with Infusion Nurses Society (INS) guidelines
- Support compliance with applicable accreditation standards (e.g., ACHC, as applicable)
- Participate in required training, competency assessments, and quality improvement initiatives
- Part-time / per diem schedule with flexible shifts
- Combination of home infusion visits and infusion suite coverage within the State of Maine
- Travel required; must have reliable transportation
- Supported by pharmacy leadership, clinical oversight, and 24/7 operational infrastructure
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the State of Maine
- Minimum 2 years of infusion nursing experience (home or clinic preferred), including therapies such as immunoglobulin, or specialty/biologic infusions
- Proficient in vascular access techniques and infusion pump management
- BLS/CPR required; ACLS and CRNI certification preferred
- Must be a licensed driver with an insured, reliable automobile in good working order
- Deliver empathetic, patient-centered care in diverse settings
- Promote safety, professionalism, and regulatory compliance
