Travel Nurse Source  is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Endoscopy RN in Bangor, Maine, 04401!

Minimum of 1 year of Endoscopy experience required.
License: RN license required.

Certifications:

BLS, ACLS, PALS (optional).
Must-Have:
Experience in both scrubbing and circulating preferred.

Description:

Immediate start needed.
Manager interviews will be conducted.
Level II Trauma Center with a total of 411 beds.
The facility features 11 pre-operative bays, 8 PACU bays, and 5 procedure rooms.

Experience with advanced GI procedures such as ERCP with stent placement, colonic EMR, colonic stents, EUS, and biliary stents is necessary.
Candidates should be asked about their experience with these procedures and whether they have scrubbed or only circulated.
General GI procedures include EGD, Colonoscopy, hemorrhoid treatments, colonic EMR, PEG insertion, and colon ablation.
Pediatric GI procedures involve EGD and Colonoscopy.
Pulmonary procedures include bronchoscopies, EBUS, thoracentesis, and Pleurx catheter insertion.
The general surgery team will be involved in surgeries as needed.
Patient ratios include 1:3-4 in pre-op.
Recovery is phase 2 with ratios of 1:2-3.
Most cases are performed under MAC anesthesia.
If a patient is under general anesthesia, the team will attempt to recover them quickly in the procedure room; if unsuccessful, the patient will be moved to the main PACU.
Candidates should possess pre/post-op experience and basic bronchoscopy and intraoperative experience.
The team comprises a charge nurse who does not take patient assignments.
Support staff includes a unit secretary and appointed team leads in pre-op along with CNAs in pre/post areas.
Charting is done using a designated system.
Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm.
Travelers will work from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
No weekend rotations or on-call requirements are expected.
There are no specific holiday expectations.
Teamwork and a traveler-friendly environment are emphasized.
