Registered Nurse - Wound Care Clinic (Per Diem, Day Shift)
Maine Health Wound Care Clinic - Portland, Maine
Maine Health Wound Care Clinic in Portland, Maine is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our growing, fast-paced team. This role provides direct, on-site patient care for individuals with a wide range of acute and chronic wound conditions.
Position Details:
- Per diem position
- Day shift
- Monday-Friday clinical setting (no weekends or nights)
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with various types of wounds
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary wound care team
- Perform wound assessments, treatments, and patient education
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with standards of care
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
- Prior wound care experience strongly preferred
- Strong clinical skills, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient clinical environment
Summary:
The Registered Nurse II - Ambulatory Care-MH PD role uses professional nursing processes to assess the needs of patients and families calling or presenting for care in the physician office and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
Certifications:
Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification require or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
One year of RN experience required. Two years of relevant experience preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse I - Ambulatory Care role.
