Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night-shift ICU position requiring a ME or compact RN license and at least one year of recent ICU experience.
Responsibilities- Position is in the Intensive Care Unit/CCU of a hospital setting
- Patient care involves critically ill adults requiring intensive monitoring and support
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend is required
- Care for critically ill patients as part of a multidisciplinary ICU team
- Manager interviews are part of the selection process
- Flu vaccination is required for all start dates from September 30, 2024, and beyond unless a documented medical exemption is approved
- Medical exemptions for the flu vaccine must be submitted at least two weeks in advance for approval
- Walk-in flu shot clinics are available onsite
- Travelers living 100+ miles north of Bangor may be considered only with special approval
- Travel pairs will not be considered for the same position
- Active ME or compact state RN license is required
- Minimum of 1 year recent ICU experience is required
- Copies of all current certifications must be provided
- Two references from the past year, with at least one from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge Nurse
- Driver’s License must be submitted as a separate file
- Must not have previously worked in a permanent capacity at any Northern Light Health Hospital
- Permanent address must be 100+ miles south or southwest of Bangor, ME for consideration
- Full Social Security Number (SSN) required for consideration
