Maintenance Mechanic B

Overview

Maintenance Mechanic B at HP Hood LLC. Responsible for assisting on the production floor and for all repairs and preventive maintenance on all equipment used in the manufacturing process throughout the facility.

Hours vary – start time typically between 5:00 am and 11:00 am, dependent on the day and business needs;
Monday-Friday.

• Install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced environment with progressively less supervision.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment ensuring equipment is in good repair and safe operating condition.
• Perform electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and plumbing activities with minimal supervision.
• Work in a safe manner, in compliance with company, State and Federal GMPs, SOPs, and administrative policies and procedures.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Possess own tools.
• Safety is vitally important; employees are responsible for understanding and following all safety procedures. Food safety is a key performance indicator. GMP and housekeeping procedures are to be followed as part of any job at our facility.

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Execute assigned duties with minimal supervision.
• Perform assigned duties satisfactorily and on time.
• Perform assigned duties following "Good Manufacturing Practices".
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

• A High School or Trade School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Lock Out/Tag Out and Confined Space Entry programs.
• Haz-Mat technical level training.

• Maintaining food safety and food quality through completing task and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
• Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
• The monitoring of incoming services.
• Properly documenting tasks.
• Completing Preventive Maintenance and Work Orders as required.

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.

Pay range: $31.40 - $32.41 USD
