Overview
In this role you will...
You will supervise day-to-day activities of Inventory Control.
Leadership support hours may vary; however, typically start between 6:00am - 8:00am and end between 2:30pm - 4:30pm. Schedule is dictated by business needs but offers flexibility.
Direct Report Team hours are 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
You will supervise staff, assign work, monitor activities and evaluate performance.
You will provide coaching and guidance to staff and promote staff training and development.
You will lead work activities through planning and organizing, prioritizing and balancing work that provides adequate staffing and resources.
You will maintain work on schedule to meet goals and deadlines so that ongoing internal and/or external requirements are fulfilled and maintained.
You will collaborate with other departments to coordinate work and manage escalated/critical issues. Providing internal/external customer feedback and lead/participate in teams/projects.
You will lead and/or contribute to process improvements based on evaluation of existing procedures and business needs utilizing data, metrics and system tools to ensure efficiency and to maximize customer experience.
You will identify problems, obstacles and opportunities and proactively take action to address issues, striving for continuous improvement.
You will contribute to maintenance of department technology and systems resources, coordinate with other departments and vendors as needed to resolve issues and maintain ongoing functionality.
You will prepare reports and other information summarizing work activities, prepare various analyses as needed to highlight issues and resolve questions.
You will maintain knowledge of Company products and services, as well as changes and developments in the industry affecting work activities.
EDUCATION:
You will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ideally, you will have managed a team in the past. You will have experience managing, organizing, prioritizing, and directing work activities and teams.
You will leverage personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, & Excel).
You will have strong communication skills both verbally and written with the ability to adapt your communication based on the recipient.
You will have developed reasoning and analytical skills to resolve issues.
You will demonstrate project management skills and abilities.
Ideally, you will have experience with Inventory Control, Materials Management, and/or warehousing leadership.
You will be adept in identifying and implementing process improvements and integrating Lean methodologies.
You are a continuous learner who embraces a growth mindset and challenges yourself routinely.
You can work flexible hours.
You will follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable ISO regulations
You will have knowledge of warehouse practices.
You will have an ability to support a multi-shift and multi-site operation.
You have your own transportation, and the ability to travel between local warehouses for leadership support as needed.
Certificate to operate a forklift may be required; certificate to work with hazardous materials may be required.
Extensive sitting, standing and computer use.
Extend and reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers.
Ability to properly lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Must be able to work for extended periods of time standing, sitting, walking, reaching with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk and hear.
Must be able to work at heights while using powered industrial trucks and proper safety PPE.
Moderate to high computer use.
Fluency in the English language
Some travel is required.
Combination of General office environment & Normal warehouse environment where protective clothing and equipment may be required.
An annual salary target of $70,000K - $80,000
