We are excited to welcome a Manager (RN) – Ambulatory Clinical Documentation Integrity (aCDI) to our growing ambulatory CDI team. In this newly created leadership role, you will guide a talented team (15+ RN Care Team Members) as you collaboratively drive meaningful impact across our high-value, patient-focused workflows. We are building a best-practice program rooted in excellence, innovation, and a commitment to improving outcomes.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of risk adjustment and value-based care methodology, solid knowledge of CMS regulations related to risk adjustment and billing, and exceptional communication skills. Certification in documentation integrity, risk-adjusted coding, and familiarity with quality measures is strongly preferred. This is a full-time position based in our Westbrook, Maine office with limited hybrid flexibility.

Summary

The ACDI Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating ambulatory clinical documentation improvement initiatives across the organization. This role ensures documentation accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory and payer requirements. The manager supports system-level objectives, supervises ACDI staff, and collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to enhance data integrity and care quality.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate ambulatory clinical documentation improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Ensure documentation accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
  • Support system-level objectives and supervise ACDI staff.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to enhance data integrity and care quality.
  • Guide the development of a best-practice program rooted in excellence, innovation, and outcomes improvement.
  • Foster a culture of clear communication and accountability within the team.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing; master’s degree preferred.
  • License/

    Certifications:

    RN;
    Certification in CDI or related field preferred (e.g., CCDS, CDIP).
  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in clinical documentation improvement or related experience, plus 3–5 years of management experience with direct reports.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements: Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
