Summary

The supervisor is responsible for overall direction and supervision of the Radiology Representatives providing customer service at multiple Department of Radiology locations. Supervisor ensures that customer service needs are met, departmental and institutional missions are met within the context of departmental and institutional values, ensures that division policies and procedures are followed and that all sites are adequately staffed each shift.

The supervisor also performs Radiology Representative work as needed which includes, but is not limited to, performing patient reception and registration functions, collecting patient and clinical information required by the clinical staff, answering and directing telephone calls, processing imaging records, and other similar work.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education:

    Associates Degree in a business, hospitality, or health care field preferred. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • License/

    Certifications:

    N/A
  • Experience:

    One year or more years of front line supervisory experience is preferred. Three years of experience in a hospital customer service role may be substituted for supervisory experience. Experience in any front line customer service role is preferred. Experience with electronic health record systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, people skills, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in making and implementing decisions in a collaborative and timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work, train staff, motivate encourage and support direct reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and work with complex computerized record management systems and electronic health records.
  • Recognizes customer needs and respond appropriately to those needs.
