Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a full or part-time Patient Service Representative position. Bonus amount prorated for part-time hires and per diem hires are ineligible. The first level of a three level Career Path is the Patient Access Associate I located within the Central Registration/Admitting Department. Will serve as the first point of contact for patients in order to perform accurate and timely patient identification, check in, registration and admission. Functions include accurate collection and entry of demographic and insurance information, insurance verification, capturing signatures for consents and completing account follow-up.
Ensures the accuracy of the patient's bill including account follow-up five days post discharge. May perform or support additional functions including scheduling, copay collection, financial navigation, switchboard and Emergency Department arrival and registration. While this is a non-clinical role, the Associate I will work closely with clinical care teams and at times will complete Access functions at the bedside or within the clinical care environment.
Functions may be performed in a high volume, fast paced environment. The associate will provide customer service support for visitors and families. Patient Access care team members serve all patient populations and are exposed to varying levels of acuity, disease and sensitive patient and visitor situations. Must convey a caring and professional attitude for all patients and visitors.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

High school diploma or GED preferred. - License/

Required:
