Be among the first 25 applicants. Join a vibrant, interdisciplinary team serving the complex needs of adults with serious mental illness in the greater Portland area. We are looking for a collaborative, engaging, and driven Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Clinician who has their clinical licensure.

This is a full-time year‑round position providing individual, group, and family counseling to individuals with psychotic disorders and other serious mental illness, in community, home, and office‑based settings. Clinicians work in partnership with the ACT team to help individuals meet their recovery goals. Clinicians participate in supervision, staff meetings, and professional growth opportunities.

Duties
  • Provide intake/assessment when individuals are referred and ongoing assessment as required.
  • Facilitate Individual Service Plan team meetings and develop a plan of care (ISP) for individuals with input from the team.
  • Oversee implementation of ISP, monitor, and document progress.
  • Provide individual, group, and family client substance use disorder counseling utilizing best practices, culturally competent, trauma‑informed, and evidence‑based models.
  • Collaborate with all of an individual's external treatment team.
Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited school.

• Clinical licensure of: LMSW‑CC, LCSW or LCPC‑C, LCSW.

• Maine state alcohol and drug counselor certification preferred.

• 1–2 years of relevant supervisory experience preferred (i.e., mental health, social services).

• Must maintain required licensing and certification throughout the duration of employment with Spurwink in this role.
