Role Description

This full-time, on-site Infusion Pharmacist role is based in Portland, ME. The Infusion Pharmacist will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and dispensing of infusion medications, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will consult with patients and healthcare providers to develop and follow infusion therapy plans, manage medication use, and maintain quality standards. Additional responsibilities include supervising pharmacy technicians, monitoring patient progress, and contributing to inventory and supply management.

This role requires a commitment to patient safety, exceptional service, and teamwork within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of sterile compounding, infusion therapy, and pharmaceutical care practices
  • Strong ability to provide patient counseling, communicate with healthcare providers, and ensure accurate documentation
  • Experience in managing inventory, regulatory compliance, and maintaining quality assurance
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Maine (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Commitment to patient safety, detail-oriented practices, and adherence to industry standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and effectively manage responsibilities in an on-site setting
  • Previous experience in a clinical pharmacy or infusion therapy role is highly desirable
