We provide personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, errands, medication reminders, companionship, spiritual care, and much more. We are based in Portland, and our services are available in the areas of Biddeford, Saco, Scarborough, Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Cumberland, Yarmouth, and many more.

POSITION: CNA, PSS, and DSW

We are seeking highly compassionate and dedicated caregivers to join our expanding family. You must be prepared to provide in-home care to our clients respectfully and compassionately, and expect to be treated with respect and valued in return.

• Provide personal hygiene assistance
• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation
• Assist with personal care and hygiene, plan and prepare meals
• Complete the client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED required
• One year of full-time experience in elderly care, either in a personal care or institutional setting (such as a hospital or nursing home), or one year of full-time experience within the last five years providing direct client care in a home care agency setting
• Evidence of a sympathetic attitude toward elderly care
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and carry out directions
• Evidence of maturity and ability to deal effectively with job demands
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills
• Participate in professional meetings when directed
• Ability to work closely supervised to ensure competence in providing client care
• Must have a criminal history check conducted prior to being offered a position with the agency

• Sufficient visual and hearing ability to comprehend written and verbal communication
• Perform tasks involving activity, which may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing
• Deal effectively with stress
• Work assigned hours per week
• Bend and stand an average of six (6) hours per day
• Lift up to 50+ pounds
• Work in a stressful environment
• Drive up to 50+ miles per day

• Assess and communicate with ill clients, co-workers, and the general public
• Must have a passion for caregiving and a desire to help others
• Must be neat in appearance and practice good personal hygiene
• Must have a reliable means of transport
• Must have a valid proof of a negative TB test, or be willing to get tested
• Must have CPR and First Aid certifications from a recognized provider
