Overview
Spurwink is seeking a clinician to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary team serving adults with mental health and substance use needs in a residential setting in Portland. This is a full-time year-round position providing individual, group, and family counseling to individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use needs in a residential program setting. Clinicians work in partnership with the program team to help individuals meet their recovery goals.
Clinicians participate in supervision, staff meetings and professional growth opportunities.
- Review, screen, and process new client admissions in collaboration with Program Director and Medication Room Manager.
- Work collaboratively with the Associate Director in running team meetings.
- Oversee the clinical care of the clients.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and treatment planning.
- Facilitate groups.
- Learn multiple treatment modalities (ACT, DBT, NVC, MI, and CPT).
- Master s degree from an accredited school.
- Clinical licensure of: LMSW-CC, LCSW, LCPC-C, LCSW. Maine state alcohol and drug counselor certification preferred.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience preferred (i.e., mental health, social services).
- Must maintain required licensing and certification throughout the duration of employment with Spurwink in this role.
- All applicants must maintain a current driver s license and a clean driving record as outlined in Spurwink s Driving policy.
