Physician Assistant - Critical Care

Overview

Maine Health Maine Medical Center is recruiting a Physician Assistant (PA) for our Critical Care team in Portland, Maine. The PA will perform daily rounds with fellows, residents and students, develop and implement care plans, order and interpret diagnostic studies, conduct procedures, manage admissions and discharges, and hold family meetings.

In this dynamic setting that is growing and evolving, the PA will also participate in research and quality initiatives for Neuro Critical Care and Surgical Critical Care patients.

• Bachelor’s Degree required;
  Master’s Degree preferred.
• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Postgraduate training in critical care or a related specialty, or equivalent experience, is a must.
• Current license issued by the State of Maine or eligible for licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
