Based in Portland, Maine, Harlan Aqua Shell Seafood US Inc. dba Cozy Harbor Seafood specializes in buying, processing, and distributing high-quality seafood products, including lobster tails, lobster meat, live lobsters and fresh fish. Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site position for an Accounts Receivable Specialist based at our headquarters in Portland, ME. Responsibilities include managing invoicing, accurately processing accounts receivable transactions, monitoring and collecting overdue accounts, and maintaining financial records. The specialist will also liaise with customers to resolve payment discrepancies and ensure timely account reconciliation.
Qualifications- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for managing transactions and resolving discrepancies
- Knowledge of finance and experience in accounts receivable processes, including invoicing tasks
- Proficiency in debt collection strategies and tracking outstanding accounts
- Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Familiarity with accounting software and basic computer skills
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in the seafood or food industry is a plus
- Monday thru Friday
- 8am to 4pm
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
