Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Portland, ME, for a Project Surveyor. The Project Surveyor will be responsible for conducting land surveying activities such as fieldwork, data collection, boundary analysis, and preparing survey drawings and reports. The role involves collaborating with engineers, designers, and staff in project planning and execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Additional tasks include utilizing CAD software for mapping, inspecting project sites, and providing support for permitting and construction activities.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in field surveying techniques, data collection, and boundary analysis
  • Experience using CAD software and preparing survey drawings
  • Understanding of land surveying principles, regulations, and industry standards
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical plans, maps, and construction documentation
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, or a related field is preferred
  • Licensure or ability to obtain licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) is advantageous
