TEC Associates is a privately owned engineering consulting firm founded in 1979. TEC provides civil, and structural engineering services, specializing in marine and railroad infrastructure. Services include preparation of plans and specifications, inspection, topographic surveys, and construction observation.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the design and project management of a variety of railroad, marine, and other infrastructure projects. The candidate will also be expected to travel up to 4 weeks (Mon-Fri) a year for railroad bridge inspection. This role requires a strong understanding of structural analysis, drafting, and project management.

Duties
  • Complete the analysis, design, and detailing of various civil and structural focused projects.
  • Provide project management services including construction observation.
  • Bridge and other structural inspections with associated reports.
  • Topographic surveying
  • Environmental, municipal, state and federal permitting.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering principles, with foundational knowledge of industry standards.
  • Experience in performing Structural Analysis and Calculations for engineering projects.
  • Strong skills in using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating accurate and detailed designs.
  • Relevant degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • EIT (Engineer in Training) certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of building codes, construction materials, and industry practices.
