The University of New England’s Physician Assistant (PA) Program invites applications for a full-time, 12-month Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor. This faculty position includes responsibilities in both the didactic and clinical components of the program. The faculty member will collaborate with the Program Director, Medical Director, and PA Program faculty and staff to support program goals and ensure continued compliance with accreditation standards.

Academic rank will be determined based on prior faculty experience.

Teaching responsibilities include course instruction, curriculum development, and clinical seminar instruction, along with contributions to interprofessional education as needed. Additional responsibilities include student advising, participation in the admissions process, and service on program and University committees. Faculty members in the PA program do not provide healthcare services to students.

  • Participating in program continuous accreditation review and self‑assessment
  • Perform local/regional visits to clinical sites for student and site evaluation as needed
  • Service to include Program, College and University committee membership
  • Professional development in research and scholarly activity
  • Engaging the medical community and clinical sites to provide specialty instructions and curriculum enhancement
  • Compliance with the University of New England Manuals and Handbooks
  • Assuming any other related duties necessary to develop and maintain an effective program
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in a healthcare professions or related field
  • Minimum of three years of physician assistant clinical experience
