Clinical​/Imaging Cardiology

Overview

Maine Health Cardiology is seeking a full-time clinical/imaging cardiologist for their faculty practice based in Portland with inpatient duties at Maine Medical Center and outpatient activity centered in our Scarborough ambulatory center. There are opportunities within several established specialty programs including cardiovascular genetics, advanced cardiac imaging (PET/CMR/CT), cardio-oncology, women’s heart health, prevention, digital health, and the newly formed aortic center of excellence.

• Inpatient duties at Maine Medical Center
• Outpatient activity centered in the Scarborough ambulatory center
• Engagement in established specialty programs including cardiovascular genetics, advanced cardiac imaging (PET/CMR/CT), cardio-oncology, women’s heart health, prevention, digital health, and the aortic center of excellence
• Direct teaching role with medical students, residents, and cardiology fellows
• Academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine with the opportunity to participate in the Tufts-Maine Track MD program
• Research opportunities for faculty utilizing internal and external funding sources with access to resources including the Maine Medical Center Research Institute (MMCRI)
• Team-based care model with a collaborative approach to care
• Value Based Care experience through the Maine Heart Center and participation in BPCI-A and the Maine Health ACO
