UNE’s Portland Campus for the Health Sciences. This campus hosts the University of New England College of Dental Medicine, which is the only dental school in a region where access to quality oral healthcare is a persistent challenge, especially in rural areas. The college’s mission is “to improve the health of Northern New England as well as rural and underserved areas while shaping the future of dentistry through excellence in education, discovery, and service.”
The General/Restorative Dentistry faculty member will serve in the Department of Clinical Comprehensive Care. Core responsibilities include clinical instruction in general/restorative dentistry; fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics; digital dentistry; and occlusion.
QualificationsQualified candidates must possess a D.D.S./D.M.D. degree, or an international equivalent, and have successfully completed the NBDE Parts I & II or the INBDE and a regional licensure examination (e.g., ADEX). By the position start date the candidate must have active Maine Board of Dental Practice licensure (full).
A broad scope of clinical experience (and/or completion of additional training) in general/restorative dentistry, including fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics, and digital dentistry is required. Strong computer skills are essential to this position.
