Our client is seeking a highly organized and motivated Legal Administrative Assistant to provide day-to-day support to attorneys in its Business Practice Group. This role is well-suited for someone who thrives in a professional services environment, enjoys variety in their work, and takes ownership of keeping operations running smoothly.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and colleagues, contributing directly to the successful execution of transactions and ongoing client matters.
What You’ll Do
- Review, edit, and prepare legal and business documents for accuracy, formatting, and completion
- Support transactional matters by tracking deadlines, organizing documents, and assisting with closings
- Assemble and distribute final materials, including electronic and hard-copy closing binders
- Serve as a point of contact for incoming calls and provide administrative coverage as needed
- Manage daily mail and document flow, including scanning, filing, and distribution
- Draft correspondence and assist with document preparation
- Coordinate meetings, maintain calendars, and schedule appointments with clients and internal teams
- Assist with travel arrangements, professional events, and internal meetings
- Support billing processes, including review and finalization of client invoices
- Assist with conflicts checks and new matter intake
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems
- Prepare expense reports and other administrative or matter-related reports
What They're Looking For
- 3–5 years of administrative experience; law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities
- Detail-driven mindset with a commitment to quality and follow-through
- Collaborative, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to anticipate needs and work independently when appropriate
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word (intermediate to advanced), Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information
