Overview

The Administrative Coordinator serves as the students’ personal guide through the progression from application through matriculation at the University of New England College of Osteopathic medicine (UNE COM). They provide concierge‑type assistance to prospective UNE COM students navigating the enrollment and matriculation process, with core responsibilities including connecting with students individually to provide guidance, triage issues, provide necessary administrative information, and support the operations of the Recruitment unit within RSAS.

Expected pay is $20.82 per hour (annualized to $43,306). Total compensation ranges from $60,256 to $76,855 depending on selected medical and dental plans.

  • Plan, coordinate, and carry out all daily activities/operations related to assigned administrative functions.
  • Provide high‑touch support to prospective students and act as the student’s initial reliable point of contact with UNE COM RSAS.
  • Proactively contact prospective students in person, by phone, email, and video call to build and maintain relationships for recruitment and retention.
  • Guide and monitor student progress related to enrollment process, orientation, and pre‑matriculation requirements.
  • Communicate and track pre‑matriculation information and required materials to ensure compliance before the academic year starts.
  • Effectively communicate with prospective students regarding next steps and opportunities across all status levels.
  • Support interview process operations, including uploading schedules, communicating with candidates and interviewers, and triaging technology issues.
  • Collaborate with university offices such as Admissions, Marketing, Student Financial Services, Academic Affairs, Clinical Education, Student Accounts, and Registrar for recruitment and retention.
  • Assist with business office procedures, including document processing, purchase card management, and expenditure monitoring.
  • Coordinate and prepare various forms, records, schedules, reports, and other documents related to assigned functions, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Represent UNE COM RSAS at events such as Osteo Blast!, orientation, White Coat Ceremony, Senior Week, commencement, and hooding ceremonies.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree with three to four years of relevant administrative experience, or a combination of education and experience providing comparable knowledge and skills.
  • Demonstrated planning, administrative, and organizational skills through coordination of multiple tasks, projects, or events within established deadlines.
  • Proven writing, quantitative, and research abilities demonstrated through accurate correspondence, data summaries, or reports supporting decision‑making or operations.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace), with ability to produce professional documents and maintain accurate records.
  • Experience developing and maintaining filing and record‑keeping systems, including databases or document management software.
  • Working knowledge of higher education operations and administrative processes, demonstrated via prior experience in a college or university setting or related environment.
