Accounting Manager, Treasury Manager, Accounts Receivable Manager, Accountants Job Summary

This position is responsible for working in concert with VP, Regional Managers, GMs and Parts & Service Managers to attain and exceed Accounting Department goals and objectives for fiscal year, all while developing Department Policies, Procedures and Staffing to ensure these tasks are met.

Key Foundational Role Requirements Technical Qualifications Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate accounting functions, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization and inconsistencies exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Education/Certifications

A college degree is required along with at least 10 years of progressively more responsible experience in the accounting area. CPA is highly preferred. Management, organization, and communication skills must be highly developed. Computer skills need to be broad-based. This person must possess a valid driver’s license.

Role Responsibilities
  • Safeguards all company assets
  • Federal, state and sales tax compliance and audits, including the preparation and review of all required tax and compliance reports
  • Directs the preparation, integrity, and interpretation of the financial statements
  • External auditors, including financial statement audits, IRS and state compliance audits, sales tax audits, and bank compliance audits
  • The following sub-activities:
    Cash management, Accounts payable, Fixed asset accounting, Employee benefit compliance and payments, and Account analysis and reconciliation
  • Reports financial information to management
  • Provides accurate and timely financial data
  • Provides the information necessary in a timely manner to support ongoing business decisions and ensure that the information accurately reflects the status of the business
  • Audits liaison – financial, tax, and contract compliance
  • Directs the internal auditing of receipts, disbursements, product and operational costs, assets and liabilities
  • Reviews daily cash management reports and authorizing cash transfer or loan requests
  • Originates, supervises and reviewing the work delegated to accounting staff
  • Maintains company accounting record storage
  • Month‑end and year‑end processing of the company system
  • Recommends the establishment and maintenance of relationships with banks, CPA, and consultants as required
  • Manages the accounts receivable to ensure the company receives prompt payment for its products and services
