This is a full-time, on-site role for a Medical Assistant at Meridian Health Services located in Portland, IN. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for supporting healthcare providers by preparing patients for examinations, taking medical histories, and assisting with clinical procedures. Additional duties include managing medical records, administering medications or treatments under supervision, scheduling appointments, and providing excellent patient care. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to promote whole person health within the community.

• Proficiency in clinical skills such as taking vital signs, administering medications, assisting in procedures, and maintaining patient confidentiality
• Administrative skills, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and working with medical software
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to provide compassionate patient care and collaborate with healthcare professionals
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities effectively, and work in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent clinical training; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred
• Basic CPR certification is required
• Experience in a healthcare setting, especially in primary or behavioral health, is a plus
