Lecturer: Carpentry - Prison Education - HMP

Overview

HMP Portland have an exciting opportunity for a Carpentry Lecturer to join the prison-based Education Team. This role is one day a week.

• Deliver engaging carpentry classes to learners based within the prison.
• Support learners to achieve success and guide them through the courses.
• Help learners achieve qualifications, as well as develop confidence and skills they can apply to employment on release, or to other areas within education.
• If you are unqualified in teaching but have a high level of enthusiasm and the appropriate trade qualifications, teacher training will be provided.
