Job Title
CYP VQ Assessor – 22.12 Hours (3 days/week)
FundingTemporarily Funded until 31st March 2027
Location and OrganisationPart of the Cwm Taf Social Care Workforce Development Service based at Ty Elai, Williamstown.
OverviewCo‑ordinating a programme of learning and assessment for a specified group of learners to achieve recognised qualifications. This will contribute to attaining Social Care Wales registration requirements or National Training targets and to assist in ongoing personal development.
Key Responsibilities- Manage workload to provide a quality and robust service to learners seeking to complete their vocational qualifications in Health and Social Care.
- Liaise with supervisors and managers to create a triangulated approach to assessment.
- Join an experienced, hardworking team and demonstrate good communication and team‑working skills – essential for the role.
- Complete lesson plans for training and teaching sessions with learners in the health and social care sector.
- Keep accurate records and complete assessments, including observations of practice against set criteria.
- Attend regular meetings and ensure continuous professional development is kept up to date.
- Travel to all areas of Cwm Taf as required.
The successful applicant would hold a relevant vocational qualification in Children and Young People services, as covered within the essential specification criteria outlined in the Job Description.
