Pay Rate
: $30/hr
(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00 pm-11:59 pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00 am-4:59 am)
- Ensure equipment is operating in a safe and optimal manner.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment in an expert, efficient manner.
- Carry out preventative maintenance efficiently and expertly.
- Interact with production staff, co‑workers, vendors, and contractors in a safe and professional manner.
- Operate, monitor, and repair refrigeration equipment and support systems to facilitate production requirements.
- Maintain refrigeration and related equipment/systems through preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
- Repair/maintain boilers, plant heating, ventilation, wastewater systems, air conditioning, and related equipment.
- Maintain safety and integrity of all facility fire protection systems.
- Carry out and document environmental, PSM, refrigeration, boiler, and wastewater system inspections/audits.
- Oversee chemical, oil, and material waste handling programs.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Familiar with centrifugal pumps, PD pumps, progressive cavity pumps; understands gear ratios and speeds.
- Ability to use hand tools and operate power tools; able to operate a drill press and hydraulic press.
- Ability to perform quality welds in a horizontal position using MIG, TIG, and ARC.
- Fundamentals of basic electricity; ability to use a multimeter, tape measure, and torque wrench (ft-lb and in-lb).
- Knowledge of three‑phase motors, motor controls, wrapping and food processing equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and read electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Safe work practices and knowledge of OSHA standards.
- Ability to read, understand, and implement written instructions and procedures in English.
- Effective communication skills; able to work well in a group and independently.
- Able to work flexible hours and all three shifts; able to stand for extended periods (8–10 hours) on concrete/metal grate floors and work in cold/heat.
