Engineering Associate Technician

Job Summary

A Engineering Associate Technician for a medical devices and equipment manufacturing company is needed in the Portage, MI area. This position provides support to engineers and scientists by following established procedures to perform evaluations, document results, and implement established solutions for straightforward technical tasks.

• Provide technical support to engineers and scientists across various tasks.
• Develop and recommend new procedures and methods.
• Prepare technical reports and formal documentation.
• Conduct technical evaluations of specific events to identify the root cause of issues.
• Recommend corrective actions based on evaluation findings.
• Operate as a generalist within a technical specialty or across multiple skilled trade disciplines.
• Execute well-defined technical procedures and follow detailed rules or instructions.
• Make simple judgments and select from established solutions in straightforward situations.

• Acquired knowledge through experience, specialized education, or formal training.
• Basic understanding of work routines and procedures within the specific discipline.
• Ability to work within clearly defined procedures and guidelines.
• Capacity to follow detailed, pre-established instructions for decision-making.
• Typically requires no prior professional experience.
