The challenge

A new instrument demands ultra‑stable measurement electronics, responsive thermal control, and robust AC power handling. You’ll architect and deliver the sub‑assemblies that make it possible—working independently yet shoulder‑to‑shoulder with cross‑functional partners.

Your mission
  • Own advanced electrical component and sub‑assembly design with minimal supervision
  • Research, prototype, test, and iterate to achieve performance targets
  • Dig into production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes
  • Produce clear schematics, BOMs, specifications, and maintain an engineering logbook
  • Assemble documentation for design reviews and maintain a complete design history
  • Collaborate across disciplines, weighing system‑level impacts and tradeoffs
  • Scout and evaluate emerging technologies to advance innovation
  • Lead specialty design efforts with a high degree of technical autonomy
What you’ll leverage
  • Mixed‑signal design (ADC/DAC) for measurement systems
  • Microcontroller‑centric hardware design
  • Analog circuit expertise
  • Closed‑loop temperature control techniques
  • AC design across single‑phase and three‑phase systems
  • High‑voltage (≈1 kV and above, typically low power) safety‑minded design
  • Motor control and drive electronics
  • Human‑machine interface (HMI) circuitry
  • System‑level architecture and integration
  • PCB/PWB design and PWA practices
  • Wire harness design
How you work
  • Excellent communicator who documents thoroughly and clearly
  • Strong interpersonal, coordination, and facilitation skills
  • Keen awareness of multi‑disciplinary and stakeholder needs
Background
  • Master’s degree; or Bachelor’s degree with significant related experience
  • 7+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience

This position reports to the Manager, Electronics Research & Engineering, or the Manager, RF Products.
