Cost Accountant - Portage Area

Salary Range: $65,000 - $98,000 depending on experience

• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and profitability trends.
• Develop and maintain standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Manage inventory valuation, including WIP, raw materials, and finished goods.
• Prepare detailed cost reports, variance analyses, and management summaries.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes related to production costs.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
• Ensure accurate costing data within the ERP system.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of costing methodologies (e.g., standard, ABC) and variance analysis.
• Experience with inventory valuation, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

• Advanced proficiency with ERP cost accounting modules (e.g., SAP CO, Oracle Cost Management)
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for presenting financial insights
• Participation in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma initiatives
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and analysis
