Finance Assistant

We are working with a well-established, family-owned food manufacturing business based in the Portadown area, which operates at significant scale supplying major UK retailers and food service partners. As part of continued growth, they are now seeking a Finance Assistant to join their finance team.

Reporting into the finance function, this role will play a key part in supporting day-to-day finance operations, including ledgers, reconciliations, and month-end processes. The successful candidate will gain exposure to manufacturing finance, inventory, and costing within a high-volume production environment.

• Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and employee expenses
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries
• Perform regular bank reconciliations
• Reconcile petty cash and company credit card transactions
• Post and match receipts and payments
• Assist with month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, and journals

• 1–3 years’ experience in a similar finance or accounts role
• AAT qualified or studying towards AAT
• Experience using accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, Quick Books, or similar)

• Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
