A brand-new specialist provision opened in November 2024 in Tokers Green, Reading, supporting children aged 616 with Autism Spectrum Disorder, moderate to severe learning needs, and associated challenges. The team is committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is understood, valued, and supported to achieve their potential.
We are now seeking a passionate, child-centred Teacher to join the growing team and play a key role in shaping the future of this new school. Responsibilities include:
Leading teaching and learning for your class, ensuring progress and wellbeing Supervising and mentoring support staff Taking on curriculum leadership responsibilities, including:
Monitoring standards Supporting colleagues Advising on resources Leading CPD Contributing to whole-school planning and modelling the schools values in daily practice What Youll Bring QTS Experience in SEN/ASD/SLD settings (desirable) Strong planning, assessment, and behaviour-support skills Confidence mentoring and coaching support staff Ability to adapt communication and teaching approaches Good IT skills and understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning Whats on Offer Professional Growth A wide range of training and development opportunities to help you grow your skills and progress your career.
